Overview
At MayDay school, our curriculum is designed to support the developmental milestones of
young children, with an emphasis on active learning through play, discovery, and creative
exploration. Our preschoolers develop social, cognitive, and motor skills while building a strong
foundation for lifelong learning.
Areas of Focus
Language and Literacy:
We foster language development through storytelling, phonics, early writing activities,
and group discussions. By encouraging children to express themselves, we promote their
communication skills and early literacy.
Mathematical Thinking:
Our math curriculum helps children develop basic numeracy skills, including counting,
recognizing shapes, patterns, and problem-solving, in a fun and engaging way.
Art and Creativity:
Creative expression is encouraged through painting, drawing, music, and dramatic play. Our art activities help children develop their fine motor skills and encourage self-expression.
Physical Development:
We provide plenty of opportunities for physical activities, including outdoor play, music
and movement classes, and exercises that promote motor coordination and fitness.
Science and Exploration:
“Through hands-on experiments, nature walks, and sensory play, our children explore
the world around them and develop a natural curiosity for how things work.”
Science and Exploration:
We teach children important social skills like cooperation, empathy, and conflict
resolution. We emphasize positive relationships and help children understand their
emotions.
